[Algric had given the trio a fair warning of what was happening. Not the specific details of what he was coming from, but he was from a little further along Algric's timeline, and came through Hilltop Road. Never pleasant, but he's here now. IT took a few days of settling, readjusting, and putting some firm self-imposed boundaries on himself before Jon felt comfortable enough to see the others.

After a few minutes of surprise and staring, Jon ends up sitting alone with Tim for a few minutes; the others having some things to take care of themselves. He sits there, fiddling a bit with his fingers, trying not to be self conscious. He can't do anything about the myriad of different, newer scars, nor about his black sclera or so many other things about himself now.

But god... Tim. Alive and not shouting at him right this second. How novel.]

Tim... I.. [Where does he even start.]

Yes. I do enjoy autumn colours quite a bit. A-and the food? I don't mean to be that guy, but I do enjoy a good pumpkin spice chai.

[ He takes the mug of hot chocolate again and just has himself a sip. ]

[It's as much an admission as he's willing for this second.]

[ Oh. He really - Algric had literally just teased him about it, yes, but that's entirely different from that casual little confirmation. His cheeks burn very hot indeed. ]

[Ah. That was his concern, and his dear really. Algric worrying about that, which means he probably... Doesn't want this right now. He rests their hands on his knee.]

[He swallows thickly but he can't look Algric in the face for this.]

[That still doesn't inform him where Algric is now on the idea. Which, for him, is sign enough it isn't time.

Jonah squeezes his hand, looking down at them like trying to picture the bands there.]

[ Algric is still smiling dreamily, looking down at both their hands. ]

Yes. [He lets it out breathily, quiet. Just a whisper of a hope of something happy, just once in their lives.]

[ Sorry, Jon. He at least senses the discrepancy in their moods now. His tone is gentle, encouraging. ]

Well? Aren't you going to get down on one knee?

[His head snaps back up to look at Algric, all disbelief. And that faintest spark of hope.]

I.. . I-I don't have a ring. I'm still just in pyjamas, I- [He can go on.]

Ring can come later. And I rather like pyjamas, so.

[Jonah's mouth is dry staring back at those dark eyes. He loves this man next to him so unbelievably, undeniably much.

He moved from where he was sitting to. To kneel in front of him, still holding that hand but his grip is tight now, hands shaking a bit.]

Would. W-will you. Marry me?

[He hopes and prays, but there's a small part of his eyes terrified.]

[ This is happening. This is really happening. Somehow, despite more or less asking for it, he doesn't believe it.

But Jonah is there, and holding his hand, and ... there's only one answer he has to this. He won't cause any more of that particular sort of terror in Jonah. ]

Yes, Jon. Of course I'll marry you.

[Jonah stares.

Takes one long, quiet inhale to steady himself.

Then let's go of his hand only to carefully stand and cup his cheeks, leaning in for a good, long loving kiss.]

[ Algric returns it gladly, gently. Taking his time as well, letting his own joy well up quietly. Engaged. That - that means they're engaged.

He still looks dizzy with love whenever Jonah pulls back, just. Practically radiating the little cartoon hearts. ]
