[The city is quiet. Still mostly untouched by any other world or the dangers they may bring. The fountain in the center is still flowing with its healing waters, and the storage room always ready to deliver whatever someone may need. It's peaceful. Exactly the way the residents still here like it.
Down one path away from the fountain, through the sakura tree lined path, is a house. Two stories, with a yard and garden out back and a row of planted flowers in the front. As anyone approaches the house, there's definitely an air of something watching... Anyone familiar with Jonah would find the feeling. Well. Familiar.
In fact, the man himself opens the door as someone raises their hand to knock. Jonah blinks owlishly at the visitor, smiling a little after the initial shock.]
[She'd be more surprised if she didn't already know that Jonah was always watching. It just helps prove that she did, in fact, reach the right place. And she knows how it feels to have him watching and it's... comfortable. Safe.
So when he opens the door, he's obviously greeted by Ruby. A cute girl, one that had long since embraced a much less frilly lifestyle than she had before. Comfortable, easy to move in clothing that she could easily work out/dance in. But she's still, unmistakably, Ruby.]
It takes him a moment to really see who it is, recognize her. It feels like it's been far too long; a problem staying in Sidereal is time moving so differently from everywhere else he's been. While nothing can really 'brighten' Jonah, Ruby can likely see the light in his eyes sparking a bit as the recognition comes through.
He immediately steps aside, motioning for her.]
It's been quite some time so I can't exactly quantify it. But come in, come in. We'll get you some tea or something. [Almost immediately, there's the Admiral meowling and demanding attention from her. He remembers too.] Goodness, it really has been a while. I suppose I did miss you a fair amount, Ruby.
[It's teasing, though. But if she could sparkle, she would. Either way, she's coming in and instantly kneeling to give the Admiral scratches (and kisses).]
It doesn't feel like it's been all that long for me, though.
