[He thumbs along Martin's cheeks taking those eyes in. He wonders, if that connection to Beatrice still lingers here.]

It was truly awful. But... I'm. For what it's worth, I'm glad it was you, in the end. [He will start ushering them inside though, closing the door.]

[ It's a good question. Maybe? But - for now, it's proof: this is the Martin that was in Snek with him, and therefore must be the Martin that came from Sidereal too.

He follows Jon inside, clinging close to him. ]

Yeah? And - if it had been a different me? Would I still be coming home with you now, d'you think?

[It must be him. There's no real doubt in his mind either way.]

...I don't know. But I would have sorted it out all the same.

Hmm, well.

[ A little smile. Joking a bit? Maybe? ]

I might have murdered another version of me if you'd brought him home, so. I'm glad that isn't the case.

...Admittedly I would have been a bit put off, but.

All the same, I'm glad it is you. [Horrifying joke implications, really, but Jonah reaches to take Martin's hand to hold for the moment. Just... glad for this. Seeing the color blooming between them again.]

[ Martin laughs. They're both terrible, aren't they? It's why they're good for each other.

He clings to Jon and tugs him towards the kitchen. ]

Same. And - ah, it's just as I left it -

[ A pause. ]

Is my tea still hot?

Maybe? [He's following the tug at least. The Eye gone, it's refreshing to have his own thoughts filling his head and nothing else again, as nice as it would be to know.]

I- wonder if it brought us back to the moment we left.

[ Martin drifts forward to grab his cup and sip at it. Yep, same blend and everything. ]

You know, I think it did. I thought I heard something to that effect at the end anyway.

[Jonah smiles gently at that. It's good, watching Martin have this. Not the off-brand weird tea the Temple had, but real proper tea.]

I have a vague memory of that as well, but I wasn't sure if it was to be believed.

[ Actual and proper, made the way he likes it, with the cream and all ...

Sorry Jon, he's returning to his first and truest love for a moment here. ]

It would be just like that place to send us back staggered. Make you wait for me this time.

Mm. Well. I didn't wait too long, this time. Only as far as saying your name.

[If he were the more romantic type, he'd joke that he summoned Martin with his name. But that isn't Jon.]

[ Look. Sidereal does seem like that sort of place.

Martin lets out a happy sigh. ]

It's perfect. God, I missed our home so much.

[eyediot]

[Jonah could watch that moment for years and not be tired of it. He reaches to just touch his fingertips to Martin's elbow.]

...I did as well. I'm- relieved we're both back home.

[ Jon pls. It's such a cute gesture, and yet. Martin turns his face up towards him and looks downright mischievous. ]

So when are you going to kiss me about it, hm?

[eyediot]

Oh, you're really feeling that way about being home?

[curriculum_fictae]

I mean. You can sort of always assume it's in the background of my head about you, dear.

[eyediot]

Oh, I see. Well, that's good to know then. For the future.

[He starts to lean up to kiss him but then pauses.]

I wonder if I should feed the Admiral first?

[curriculum_fictae]

[ Martin makes a half exasperated, half amused noise and just pulls him into a kiss, you idiot. ]

[eyediot]

[Jon can't help chuckling a little into the kiss, leaning up into it before wrapping arms around Martin's neck to hold him close. Now they're home.]

[curriculum_fictae]

[ Finally, officially. Martin is warm under Jon's hands, and his own creeps gently up to touch Jon's face, being ever mindful of those awful green marks. They're here. They're home. ]

[eyediot]

[He missed being close like this, missed having Martin in his arms, missed hearing the Admiral yowling for attention and jumping onto his shou-

Okay that hurts, he laughs a little as he breaks away when the Admiral digs into his shoulder.]

Ow-ow all right, I understand, I get it. I'll get to you in just a moment.

[curriculum_fictae]

[ Poor Admiral, he's starving to death. Martin laughs a bit and lets go. ]

Right, go on and tend to him. I think I need a lie down anyway.

[eyediot]

You're sure?

[He takes a moment to simply watch his husband, a bit concerned, all affection and relief.]

I'll be up in a moment, just- let me know if you need anything?

[curriculum_fictae]

[ He seems ... tired? But, well. It's been a day for both of them.

He smiles back at Jon again. ]

I'll take my tea with me. Can't imagine what I'll get up to in the ten minutes it'll take for you to feed our cat.

[eyediot]

I'm never sure. You might decide you want a snack in ten minutes but all the same.

[He leans up for one more quick kiss before stepping away to watch Martin go upstairs.]

All right, you needy child. As if Sparrows and some of the others didn't spoil you enough the last month or so.
