[Algric had given the trio a fair warning of what was happening. Not the specific details of what he was coming from, but he was from a little further along Algric's timeline, and came through Hilltop Road. Never pleasant, but he's here now. IT took a few days of settling, readjusting, and putting some firm self-imposed boundaries on himself before Jon felt comfortable enough to see the others.

After a few minutes of surprise and staring, Jon ends up sitting alone with Tim for a few minutes; the others having some things to take care of themselves. He sits there, fiddling a bit with his fingers, trying not to be self conscious. He can't do anything about the myriad of different, newer scars, nor about his black sclera or so many other things about himself now.

But god... Tim. Alive and not shouting at him right this second. How novel.]

Tim... I.. [Where does he even start.]

[ Algric resumes his massage then, gently working the lavender oil into Jonah's back. ]

[At the laugh he smiles a bit.]

[ Algric goes blank for a moment, just. Taking that in. ]

He was fairly adamant that you don't go back to our timeline, for starters. He doesn't want to lose you. That... that's love enough on its own, I think. Wanting to keep you safe.

[ Ah, that sort of love. But that's still a hell of a thing, isn't it? Algric falls silent for a moment, his cheeks burning. ]

I ... I didn't realise. I mean, I knew he didn't want me to go back, and - and we did say we'd look after each other, just ...

[Jonah looks over his shoulder back at him.]

Do you think Tim would spend his time and energy with you and letting you stay and help you if he didn't love you at least a little bit?

[His everything softens watching Algric. There is a firmness behind his eyes, a determination to do whatever he has to so Algric never hurts like that again. If he has to do something like he did to Tobias, well... that's just something he'll make peace with.]

I just want to make sure you know you're loved.

I - I do know that, Jon. I really do.

[ He takes in a deep breath. ]

It's just ... believing is the hard part, still.

[A moment of introspection and Jonah reached for Algric. Wanting him close. The idea of a massage is nice and all but he wants to ... he doesnt know.]

[ He seems to be winding down the massage anyway now that the oil's been worked in. When Jonah reaches for him, he moves down to hug him, wrapping those great big arms around Jonah's smaller frame. ]

Mm. It's - it's hard for all of us, I think.

[When he does, Jonah turns to curl into him with a quiet, contented sigh. This is nearly perfect.]

I think so as well. I'll do my best so you all remember it.

[A beat.]

Was it... Did my doing that really effect you that much?

[ARE YOU A MONSTERFUCKER, MARTIN.]

[ GOD. Jon. You can't just ask someone if they're a monsterfucker. Algric holds him a little more tightly, going red all the way to the tips of his ears. ]

[Sorry that's not any kind of real response to Algric's answer.]

[And probably not do that in front of Algric again. Probably.]

[ It's really not? If anything it seems like a mildly negative response, so. Algric turns his head away, ashamed. ]

S-sorry. I - it was just - it was more you, you know. Doing something on my behalf like that? A-and it was a bit extreme s-so I had an extreme. Reaction.

[Algric turns his face away and Jonah immediately squirms to get his arms where he can reach for his face.]

I didn't say it was bad or anything, I just. I hadn't. Had an audience for that before, and I was. Angry and... [hurting] a little new to me too. Just caught me a little by surprise. Is all.

[ Reluctantly, Algric turns back. ]

R-right, that's - probably not something you want me to. React to. Like that. Hard enough to deal with without me making it complicated.

[When his face is toward him again, Jonah cups his cheeks gently. His own expression is a mix of fondness and hope and that ever lingering sadness that lives in his eyes.]

I still don't know how I feel about it? It's...new. That's all. And.. admittedly, it was nice.
