[Algric had given the trio a fair warning of what was happening. Not the specific details of what he was coming from, but he was from a little further along Algric's timeline, and came through Hilltop Road. Never pleasant, but he's here now. IT took a few days of settling, readjusting, and putting some firm self-imposed boundaries on himself before Jon felt comfortable enough to see the others.

After a few minutes of surprise and staring, Jon ends up sitting alone with Tim for a few minutes; the others having some things to take care of themselves. He sits there, fiddling a bit with his fingers, trying not to be self conscious. He can't do anything about the myriad of different, newer scars, nor about his black sclera or so many other things about himself now.

But god... Tim. Alive and not shouting at him right this second. How novel.]

Tim... I.. [Where does he even start.]

[He lets out a little nervous laughter, leaning with the affection. But man he cannot look at Algric saying this.]

It's just been a while. And. I-I dunno, I wouldn't. Mind? Helping sometimes.

Helping with what, exactly?

[ Utter innocence. ]

[He'll die.

He sits there, staring at Algric and knowing that he's trying to make Jonah use his words.

Instead he shrugs.]

It's not that important, really. We can discuss it some other time.

[Makes like he's gonna get up....]

[ God, Jonah, you're the worst. Algric makes a dimly (fondly) frustrated noise. ]

N-no, I - I would actually. Like to confirm if we're talking about the same thing. Boundaries, and. And all.

[Jonah does smirk when he hears that frustrated noise. Good to know he can still do that on occasion.]

I'm just saying... You have your preferences and I have perfectly working hands.

[ Right. Okay. That was what he thought, but - he goes blisteringly red. ]

A-and that's something you don't. Mind doing? Sometime, not - not right this second.

Not- not like planning ahead or anything [God the idea of planning that sounds like an anxiety building nightmare.] just something to be okay with?

Yeah.

[He scratches nervously at one of those pocked scars.]

Felt like it was a minute ago.

W-well. Very - close. Yes. I think. Maybe?

[Jonah sighs. Lets his weight shift to leaning against Algric and relaxes. Moment gone, really.]

Maybe.

[ Sigh. Algric kisses the top of his head. ]

Let's get breakfast.

Mm. Yes. I'm still cooking. But do you mind grabbing the laundry?

[It's almost like they're a functioning couple. Go figure.]

I'll be happy to, Jon.

[One more quick kiss before he gets up and finishes getting clothes on. Jon at least finally got over his mental block and started using the laundry bin instead of keeping everything in a pile by his pack.

But breakfast is easy enough. True to his word, some sausages and why not some eggs too. Round it out a little.]

Algric takes a moment to get dressed again, feeling much safer with a shirt and jumper on. Then he handles the laundry. Once everything's set and the load's been started, he heads for the kitchen, then, and gets the plates set out ahead of Jonah. And then watches him cook.

[eyediot]

[There's no real flare or showmanship to it. Just the marked expediency of a man who's used to cooking quick and efficiently.

He does get it all on plates though.]

Once we both have work proper, we should probably help restore some of his pantry.

Yes, for sure. I don't like having to - well. Go without contributing?

... But I don't know what sort of work I could get.

Security detail, maybe? Hide your clients from press?

Oh god. Please no.

[He snickers a bit, digging into his food.]

All right, all right. Then... Library? Could make the whole place quiet?

That would be rather pleasant. As long as they remember to pay me.

There are loads you could do I think. Just have to think outside the box a bit.

W-well, then I'll figure something out. Then I won't feel so bad about buying new clothes either.

[Jonah just.. Watches him over his mug while he takes a sip. He knows that isn't something he can work Algric through in a day, but. He wishes it was that simple. Maybe Algric will wake up to a stack of new clothes on the bed now that Jonah knows his sizing.]
